“Our task today is more about speaking of the unreal than the real. The future has already caught up with us. That is why we must try to look beyond the horizon,” said the moderator, founder, and CEO of the CyberEd expert center, Yegor Bogomolov, at the start of the panel discussion “Cybersecure World of the Future.”

Andrey Masalovich, founder of the mode school of inteet intelligence in Russia, creator of the Avalanche search engine, and president of the Inforus Consortium, outlined the main risks posed by AI development. In his view, real challenges for today’s cybersecurity include the exponential growth of hacker attacks on critical infrastructure, the integration of AI in global counterintelligence operations, and the emergence of AI-based autonomous weapons.

“When we talk about information security, we should always keep a simple concept in mind. It’s always about people, processes, and technology. And it is people who are the key component of this technological future,” emphasized Rustam Guseynov, an information security expert and chairman of the RAD KOP cybersecurity specialists' cooperative.

He added that humanitarian aspects, political will, and responsibility should play a key role in decision-making regarding the implementation and distribution of technology.

Inteational cooperation in the field of cybersecurity, despite all political differences, is crucial for maintaining future global stability, stated Predrag Ceranic, Dean of the Faculty of Security at the University of Banja Luka from the Republic of Srpska, Bosnia and Herzegovina.

“A cyber peacekeeping agreement, inspired by physical peacekeeping missions, would allow for the de-escalation of cyber conflicts between opposing parties and help manage their consequences,” concluded Predrag Ceranic in his speech.
